The new H-D™ Connect service offers peace of mind no matter where riders are in relation to their motorcycle. H-D™ Connect introduces subscription-based cellular connectivity that links Harley-Davidson riders with their motorcycle through their smart phone using the latest version of the Harley-Davidson® App. With the H-D™ Connect service and the H-D™ App, owners will have access to key features and benefits:
- Motorcycle status: Check key vehicle health information at any time, and from any location, where sufficient cellular signal is available.
- Tamper alerts and stolen vehicle tracking service: Remotely monitor the motorcycle’s security, including tamper alerts and stolen-vehicle assistance.
- Service reminders and notifications: Receive automated reminders about upcoming vehicle service requirements and other vehicle care notifications.
H-D Connect is a standard feature on most model year 2020 Touring models and the LiveWire™ motorcycle. The H-D™ Connect service will be offered for a one-year free trial subscription period after the purchase of a new H-D™ Connect equipped motorcycle and is available with a subscription charge following the initial free period. H-D™ Connect will be available in the United States, Canada, Puerto Rico and most EU countries*.
Setting Up H-D Connect
Subscription & Activation
Step 1: Download the App.
Search “Harley-Davidson” and download the free app.
Step 2: Log in or create a profile on the Harley-Davidson App.
The profile is the same for HOG, the Harley-Davidson Online Store, and harley-davidson.com. Use your existing login if you have one. If you don't set up a new one.
Step 3: Go to harley-davidson.com and log in to your account.
Step 4: Go to harley-davidson.com/connect and click "Subscribe Now".
Step 5: Enter your VIN number and click "Continue".
Step 6: Select Location you will primarily ride.
Step 7: Choose a subscription plan.
The best value is to subscribe to multiple years. All plans auto renew and you can cancel at any time.
Step 8: Enter address and payment information.
Your card will not be charged until after the free subscription period. You can turn off auto-renewal after you have completed the set up.
Step 9: Open the H-D App and click on the helmet icon on the bottom.
Step 10: Select your H-D Connect compatible motorcycle. Click "Activate H-D Connect".
Step 11: Make sure the bike is in an area with good cell service where you can start the bike.
Step 12: Press the "Run/Stop" switch on the bike but do not fully start the bike.
Step 13: Press and hold the "Low Beam" button for 5 seconds.
Step 14: Turn the bike on and let the bike run during the activation countdown in the app.
Step 15: When you see an "Activation Successful" message on the app, turn the bike off and leave it off for one full minute.
Step 16: Restart the bike and click "Next" on the app to finish the activation process on the app.
Step 17: After your next ride check to make sure your stats are publishing on the app.
If the activation process is unsuccessful, delete the H-D app from your phone, reinstall it and try the activation process again starting with Step 9.
