It's time to explore the world-renowned wine region of the Sonoma and Napa valleys, where the scenery is always spectacular as each season changes the landscape. There are plenty of opportunities for wine tasting and a picnic. The restaurants here are first rate as big-city culture abounds in this area despite its rustic feel.

It features NASCAR, AMA and seasonal Wednesday night drag races, open to anyone with a driver's license and their own set of wheels. After racing around, relax in a volcanic ash mud bath at Indian Springs in Calistoga. Built in 1860, it's the oldest continuously operating spa in the state.
