Purchasing a new motorcycle is a fun experience. There are so many different models to choose from, each one with a personality of its own. Not sure where to start? We’re here to help. With so many options out there, finding the right bike for you can feel overwhelming. Many of our guests have felt the same way you do right now, but we have found that it is helpful to focus on three main things.
Style – Fit – Function
What’s your motorcycle style?
Every individual has their own unique style that appeals to them, whether it has to do with personality, music, clothing or, in this case, motorcycles. Close your eyes and picture your new Harley-Davidson sitting in your driveway. What do you see? Does it have tall ape-hanger style handlebars or a sporty feel? Does it have tall skinny tires or a great big chopper rear end? Is it chrome and polished or more of a dark custom?
These are all important things to consider. After all you want your bike to stand out and look amazing!
Which motorcycle fits you?
This is obviously an important factor. Your comfort on your new Harley-Davidson will help you become a more confident rider. This is all about how the bike fits you, the individual rider. Your riding position is often referred to as the rider triangle. It’s the relationship of the angels of your body while riding. Are you hunched over the bike? Are you upright? Do you prefer your legs beneath you at a 90-degree angle or do you want to stretch them out in front of you? Are your feet touching the ground? Seat height, handlebar height, foot position and the overall balance of the bike are all things to consider.
Where are you going to ride your new motorcycle?
How are you planning on using your new Harley-Davidson motorcycle? Are you looking to make your daily commute easier? Do you want to take a road trip on your bike? Will you be riding with a club or friends? Do you need a bike that’s good for commuting and for long rides? This is also an important factor as some bikes are suited better for certain situations.
You have a lot of options but don’t fret! We are here to help. Contact us today to schedule your one-on-one appointment with one of our Product Specialists to help guide you on your journey and help get you riding on your new Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
